Welcome to Kerala, India’s only tropical paradise. Popularly known and believed as God’s Own Country -It is today one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Asia. Located at the southern most tip of India, Kerala is a 560 km long, narrow stretch of land, and is India’s most advanced society. Kerala, the verdant paradise, overflows with many natural splendors - mountains and valleys, lush paddy fields and lazy lagoons, hauntingly beautiful beaches and backwaters, generous yields of marine wealth and rich harvests of coconut and banana & sweet cashew nuts. It clings like a slim, green leaf to the base of the western ghats of India. Legend has it that " Parasuram" the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of Hindu Trinity, stood on a high place in the mountains of the western ghats, threw his axe far into the sea and commanded the sea to retreat, retreat it did and thus the land which emerged, dripping from the waters, became Kerala - God's own country.
