mere 120 km from the sea to the mountains, Gracing one side of
Kerala ,are the lofty mountain ranges that kiss the sky and on
the other side the land is washed by the blue Arabian Sea waters.

most advanced society. 100% literate, the state has India’s
highest density of science and technology personnel. And is India’s

mountains and valleys, lush paddy fields and lazy lagoons, hauntingly
beautiful beaches and backwaters, generous yields of marine wealth
and rich harvests of coconut and banana & sweet cashew nuts.
It clings like a slim, green leaf to the base of the western ghats
of India. Legend has it that " Parasuram" the sixth
incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the preserver of Hindu Trinity, stood
on a high place in the mountains of the western ghats, threw his
axe far into the sea and commanded the sea to retreat, retreat
it did and thus the land which emerged, dripping from the waters,
became Kerala - God's own country.
It
is a land of various art forms, lakes and temples, wildlife and
ayurveda, beaches and the backwaters - where one can experience
the unhurried pace of life.
